On the eve of the launch of the diaspora campaign, three bishops from Northern Europe and Latvia will be guests in parishes of the Diocese of Hildesheim to celebrate mass at 6 p.m. and report on the situation of the Catholic Church in their home countries.

The visits will take place as part of the nationwide diaspora campaign of the Bonifatiuswerk, which will be celebrated on Sunday at 10 a.m. with a pontifical mass in Hildesheim Cathedral. With this annual campaign, the aid organisation draws attention to Catholic Christians who live their faith in a minority in society. This year, the campaign has the motto "Become a messenger of love!".
