Eric Varden becomes Bishop of Trondheim

On 3 October, the Bonifatiuswerk congratulated the new Bishop of Trondheim, Father Dr. Eric Varden OCSO, as a new member of the Nordic Bishops’ Conference and all Catholics of the Prelature of Trondheim: “We wish Bishop Varden all the strength and God’s blessing for his work in the diaspora for the tasks ahead of him. We look forward to working together in the future and are delighted that Trondheim, with its diversity of nations and deep-rooted piety, finally has a new bishop. We would also like to thank Bishop Bernd Eidsvig and the other officials of the Prelature for their great cooperation during the time of the vacancy.”
